    Prepare the Meat & Kpomo

    • Chop your chicken and wash thoroughly• Clean the kpomo and cut into small pieces• Put both in a large pot and add 1 chopped onion, 2 seasoning cubes, salt, black pepper, and a little water• Cook until soft and tender, and keep the stock for later

    Prepare the Fish

    • Wash smoked fish and dry fish carefully• Remove bones if necessary• Set aside.

    Prepare the Egusi

    • Put your ground egusi in a bowl and add little water gradually• Mix until the paste thickens, try to create egusi lumps

    Start the Soup Base

    • Heat palm oil in a large pot• Add chopped onions and fry for about 2 minutes.• Add ground pepper and blended tomatoes.• Fry for another 5 minutes

    Add Egusi

    • Scoop small portions of egusi paste into the pot.• Leave untouched for about 5 minutes, so lumps form.• Add meat stock, chicken, kpomo, smoked fish, dry fish, crayfish, and remaining seasoning cubes.• Stir gently.• Simmer for about 20 minutes

    Add Vegetables

    • Wash and chop your vegetables.• Add to the soup• Stir and cook for about 5 minutes. Do not overcook

    • Server hot with any of:• Pounded yam• Eba• Fufu• Amala
